Round three of the league matches saw just one game played but what a game Lynncroft and Greasley Beauvale served up.

GB scored 123 in their innings with Ryan and Ben hitting 21 in their last wicket stand.

Ben and Joe for Lynncroft seemed to have the game in the bag when they started the last over needing 4 to win. Unfortunately for them a wicket off the penultimate ball saw the win go to GB by 2 runs.

The next round of matches will be played on 2nd July.

The second round of the league took place on Thursday 11th june with all six teams playing.

Greasley Beauvale recovered from defeat the previous week to out score Brookhill Leys. GB scored 147 with Ben and Ryan scoring 31 in the last 4 overs while BL were restricted to 98.

Priory scored 175 and kept the Eastwood score to 78 with tight bowling across the team which ensured a comfortable victory.

The closest match of the night saw the Cricket club team edge past Lynncroft by scoring 15 runs in their last two overs to eventually give them a win by 16 runs.

Despite starting two weeks late due to rain, the league matches got off to a flying start on 4th June.

Lynncroft defeated Eastwood Juniors with Ben and Joseph putting on 24 in their 4 overs despite Liam getting 2 wickets in his spell for Eastwood.

Current champions Greasley Beauvale suffered a first match loss to Priory with Frank, Liam and Finn getting two wickets each to restrict Greasley to a low score which Priory overcame comfortably.
