Joe Blackbourn and Jack Smith for Greasley Beauvale put on 35 runs to set Brookhill Leys a daunting target of 159 runs. This was despite Aaron Coyle and Sam Brown bowling their 4 overs for only 1 run and taking 1 wicket. Eventually Greasley won by 80 runs.
Seven runs was the difference between Lynncroft and Eastwood Cricket club. Ben and Denby top scored for Lynncroft with 16 runs in their 4 overs but Oliver and Sam saw the cricket club home with 23 in their last 4 overs.
A weakened Eastwood Juniors were well beaten by Priory with only Tom and Jake making headway against some good bowling by Priory, particularly Liam, who took 3 wickets in one over and Frank who bowled two maiden overs and picked up a wicket.
The standard of batting, bowling and particularly some of the fielding has improved immensely since the leagues started 3 years ago. The games start at 4.00pm next Thursday, weather permitting.
