October 2007 Bramcote Park is getting its very own extra curricular Archery Club! Working in conjunction with Broxtowe Sports Development, Bramcote Park will get a fully qualified coach who will introduce and teach the sport to pupils. Pupils are very excited to be getting the opportunity to take part in this non mainstream sport. Bramcote Park will offer this club up first, to pupils who are currently reluctant to take part in OSHL clubs. We aim to increase the numbers of pupils accessing after school clubs and provide activities which will appeal to all! Bramcote Park, 29th October 2007 Bramcote Park successfully bid for £10000 from Awards for All to purchase and set up an indoor canoe club. With the help of British Canoe Foundation members of staff were trained up to deliver the club to pupils. The club has initially been opened up to pupils who have previously shown a disinterest in participating in after school clubs in a bid to get more pupils involved in OSHL. We aim to create a link with Bramcote Leisure Centre which has recently started up an indoor kayaking club in the pool. Pupils who enjoy the sport at school will, therefore, get the opportunity to participate at club level. Future plans involve setting up a link with an open water kayaking club. Bramcote Park, 29th October 2007 Congratulations to all three Kimberley teams who played in the league during September and October 2007. The league was hosted by Eastwood and included Alderman and White and George Spencer. Both the year 7 and 8 teams won every game and came top of their respective leagues, whilst the year 9 team finished third.
